LIGHT RIGID TRUCK LICENSES

Description-LR

The training is designed for Victorian car driver licence holders who want to gain the skills and knowledge required to drive a light rigid vehicle.

Light Rigid Licence is quite a restrictive licence and clients are much better to acquire their MR Licence from the outset.

After holding your MR Licence for 12 months you are eligible to upgrade your Licence through to HC. This is not possible from a LR Licence.

Classification

A vehicle greater than 4.5 tonnes but no greater than 8 tonnes GVM or seats more than 12 people including the driver

Entry Requirements

• Learners must: hold a current Victorian driver's licence for at least one (1) year;
• Provide primary proof of identification prior to course commencement
• Be able to drive a vehicle fitted with a manual transmission
• Be familiar with the VicRoads Truck and Bus handbook before the course commences

MEDIUM RIGID TRUCK LICENSES

Clients will be provided with the training required to gain the skills required by VicRoads (VIC) to be able to drive a medium rigid vehicle.

Classification

Any 2 axle rigid vehicle greater than 8 tonnes GVM

Entry Requirements

• Learners must: hold a current Victorian driver's licence for at least one (1) year;
• Provide primary proof of identification prior to course commencement
• Be able to drive a vehicle fitted with a manual transmission

Course Duration- 2 days ( 2:1)-  $750 per person  -includes practical assessment.

At the successful completion of the course, including all required assessments, the Statement of Attainment will be issued with the following units completed.
