Delivery Period:                                5 Days (Can Be Tailored To One Day A Week For 5 Wks)

 

 Target Groups: 

  • General Construction Workers
  • Civil Construction Workers
  • Builders/ Plumbers
  • Entry Level For Apprentices
  • Entry Level For School Students

 Course Outline: 

  • Types of hand and power tools and their functions are identified.
  • Hand tools selected are consistent with needs of the job.
  • Hand tools are safely and effectively used according to their intended use.
  • Power tools and leads/hoses selected are consistent with needs of job in accordance with conventional work practice
  • Safe placement of leads & hoses and are clear of hazards.
  • Power tools are safely and effectively used in application processes
  • Power tools are cleaned, maintained and stored appropriately. 

Practical Demonstrations Include: 

  • Demonstrate use of hand tools and equipment such as: handsaws, shovel/spades, measuring tapes, wrenches, hammers etc.
  • Demonstrate use of power tools such as: Drills, angle grinders, sanders, nail guns, jigsaws etc.
  • Simulated workplace activities
  • Identify and use a range of building and construction hand tools and equipment.

Cost:   $650.00 per person + $65.00 Photo ID Certificate

Government Funded fee $500 (for eligible clients)
